A colouring page from a sentence, or from a photograph
Inklingly turns a few words or a photograph into a colouring page you can print. Pick the style, how much is on the page and who it is for, and get a clean black-and-white sheet as a PNG or as a PDF sized for A4 or US Letter.

How it works
Five things, in the order the app puts them in, and all five of them work today.
Describe the picture you want in your own words, or hand over a photograph you already have.
It draws a colouring page from what you gave it, and you see the result before you commit to anything.
Turn the page you liked into a full-size sheet: a PNG, and PDFs sized for A4 and for US Letter.
Publish a page you made so other people can find it in Discover, and earn a little credit back when somebody unlocks it to print.
Print it, colour it in, and put it on the fridge. That part has never needed an app.

A photograph has already decided the subject, so it takes this instead of a style.

Photograph the cat, the house, the birthday cake, or pick something out of your gallery. A photograph has already decided what the picture is of, so instead of a style you choose whether to keep just the subject or the whole scene around it.
The photograph is used to make the page and then deleted. That happens as soon as the drawing has finished — whether it worked, failed or was refused — and the storage it sat in expires everything inside a day regardless. It is never part of the page, and publishing a page never publishes the photograph behind it.
Made to be printed
A colouring page that stays on a screen is a picture. The whole point is the sheet of paper.
The preview is watermarked, on purpose
What you judge first is a small watermarked page. It costs nothing, and it is deliberately not printable — it is there so you can say yes or no before spending anything.
The printable is the same drawing
Not a second attempt at the same words. The page you approved is redrawn at 1792 by 2400 pixels — about 240 dpi on A4 inside a 10 mm margin — so what comes out of the printer is the picture you chose.
Pure black and white
The printable is thresholded to black and white with no grey in it at all, because grey is what makes a home printer produce a muddy sheet instead of clean lines.
Three files, no watermark
A PNG for anything, and PDFs laid out for A4 and for US Letter. They go through your phone's own share sheet, so you can print, save or send them wherever you like.
Pages
A Page is what one printable costs. A new account gets 3 of them, and nothing can be bought yet.
Three Pages to start
BuiltA new account is given three Pages, once. Nothing has to be bought to try the app properly.
A preview costs nothing
BuiltDescribing something and seeing what comes back is free today. You spend a Page when you ask for the printable.
A failure never costs you a Page
BuiltIf the drawing fails, times out or is refused, the Page is put back and nothing is charged. That is a rule the app is built around rather than a promise about our intentions.
Unlocking somebody else’s page costs a Page
BuiltA published page shows a watermarked preview to everybody. Unlocking its printable costs one Page, and a tenth of a Page goes back to whoever drew it.
Buying more Pages
Not yetPacks of Pages through Google Play. Not built: an account that has spent its three has no way to get more except by publishing pages other people unlock. There is no price to quote until there is one.

Not yetA monthly subscription with a Page allowance included. Also still to come, and also without a price yet.
Deliberately absent
None of these is missing by accident. Each one would mean collecting more about you, or taking on moderation work that never ends.

Questions
Everything below is true of the app as it is, not of a plan for it.
- What does Inklingly actually do?
- You either describe a picture in your own words or hand over a photograph. It draws a colouring page from that — black outlines on white, nothing shaded — and you can turn the one you like into a full-size sheet to print.
- Can I download it yet?
- Inklingly is still being built and is not on any app store yet. There is nothing to download, no waiting list to join, and no price to quote. It is built for Android first.
- Is the drawing made by AI?
- Yes. What you type, or the photograph you choose, is sent from our server to an image model run by Google, and what comes back is your page. Nothing is drawn by a person, and the model is not told who you are — the request carries your picture and your choices and no account details.
- What happens to a photograph I upload?
- It is used to make the page and then deleted. The delete happens as soon as that generation has finished — whether it worked, failed or was refused — and the storage it sat in expires everything inside a day regardless. It is never part of the finished page, and publishing a page never publishes the photograph it came from.
- Is anything I make public?
- Not unless you publish it. Every page starts private and stays in your library. Publishing is a deliberate act that shows you exactly what will be shared first — the drawing, its title, its category and your display name — and never the words you typed or any photograph you used.
- What happens when somebody unlocks my page?
- They spend one Page to get the printable, and a tenth of a Page goes back to you. You are told that it happened and never who did it. There is no cash payout: credit earned this way is credit inside Inklingly and nothing else.
- What is a Page?
- A Page is what one printable costs. A new account gets 3 of them, seeing a preview costs nothing today, and a generation that fails puts the Page straight back rather than charging you for a picture you never got.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing has a price yet, because nothing can be bought yet. Buying packs of Pages and an Inklingly+ subscription are both still to be built, and when they arrive the price will be whatever the app store charges in your own currency rather than a number written on this site.
- Do I need an account?
- Yes. Drawing happens on our server rather than on the phone, so there has to be an account for the work and the Pages to belong to. An email address and a password is the whole of what it asks for.
- Does it work without internet?
- No, and it is honest about it. Making a page is a request to a server, so it needs a connection. Once a printable is on your phone it is a file like any other.
- What sizes does it print at?
- The printable comes as a PNG and as two PDFs, one laid out for A4 and one for US Letter, each with a 10 mm margin so nothing important sits where a printer cannot reach. It is about 240 dpi on A4 and it has no watermark on it.
- Can I use the pages I make?
- Print them, colour them, give them to your children or your class. The exact wording is on the Terms page, and that wording is being reviewed by somebody qualified before the app is released.
- How do I get help?
- Email support@tinylantern.app. It is read by a person, and there is no ticket system.

It is being built for Android first. This site exists ahead of the app because the privacy policy, the terms and the account-deletion route have to be published and readable before anybody can be asked to sign up — not afterwards.
